Decorate your barrels in July!
We will be offering a wide range of topics - Recycling, Drought Tolerant Plants, Solar Power, Rain Gardens, Native Plants and much more! We will also be having workshops where you can learn a variety of things hands on - How-to-Build your own Rain Barrel, Drip Irrigation, etc. Our classes are FREE unless it is otherwise noted. Please try to let us know if you will be attending a class as space is limited and will be held in our store which is not very large. There will be 25 spaces available per class and will be filled in order that reservations are received. We hope to see you there!

RAIN BARREL DECORATION

A painting class with June Weinstock to decorate your rain barrels. She is a very talented artist and will offer instruction in making your rain barrel a work of art. See the attached photo of her work. You may bring your own barrel from home or purchase one ours. You will need to have painted a base coat on your barrel with Krylon Fusions Spray Paint For Plastic prior to the class. If you want to keep the natural color of you barrel Krylon Fusions also has a clear coat. We sell the spray paint in a wide variety of colors in our store for $5.00 a can. You can also purchase it at Home depot, Wal-Mart, Gilroy's and Ace, the selection is some what limited in some of these places. Also bring with ideas or pictures of what you would like paint on your barrel. We will supply the acrylic paints, brushes and other art supplies.
